About this test
The zombie apocalypse scenario has quietly become a skills audit in costume. Behind the fiction the questions are entirely practical: can you run two kilometres, sleep somewhere unfamiliar, clean a wound, drive something other than an automatic, ration a tin of food, and above all spend a week surrounded by frightened people without blowing the group apart?
This test runs eighteen situations across four grounds: physical condition, hands-on skills, nerve, and handling other people. That last one separates the field more than any other — in almost every story of this kind, as in almost every real crisis, what destroys a group rarely comes from outside it.
The result is an estimated survival time, from forty-eight hours to a quiet death of old age. No existing fictional universe is used here: these are our own rules, and they are merciless toward people who go and see where the noise came from.
