What Dessert Are You?

Sixteen questions about how you behave, not what you order for dessert.

About this test

Dessert quizzes almost always ask the wrong question. They ask what you order at the end of a meal, then hand your own answer back to you dressed up as a result. Nothing here mentions sugar: the questions are about how you host, how you react when you fail in front of witnesses, how long you take to answer criticism and what you leave behind when you go home.

The eight profiles are built on the actual technique of each dessert rather than its image. A molten chocolate cake only exists thanks to underbaking; macarons fail until the shells have formed a skin; a pavlova always cracks as it cools; a tiramisu needs a whole night in the fridge. Each result starts from that constraint and gets your strength and its price out of it.

One tip: answer with last week in mind, not the person you'd like to be. And if two desserts come out almost tied, the runner-up is usually the one you serve when you want to make an impression.

How it works

Every answer is tied to a dessert. We add them up and the one in front takes the result; the percentage breakdown shows your exact mix. All eight desserts appear exactly eight times across the questionnaire, so none of them starts with an advantage.
